THERAPY FOR WOMEN IN EAST NASHVILLE

Hey, I’m Natalie!

(She/Her/Hers)

Chances are you came upon this page looking for a bright spot and I hope I can supply it for you! I want to be able to carry the torch with you to be that safe person at your most crucial and sensitive time. Whether you’ve done it before or this is your first time, therapy can be daunting. I know because I’ve sat on both sides of the coffee table. I promise I won’t peel your brain back and tell you what’s going on, but I will challenge you when needed. Together we will be able to have honest conversation about the nagging bits in the back of your brain. Smoke and mirrors won’t do for me - I like to remain as transparent as possible.

I have been a therapist in Nashville for over nine years. Working with individuals and families in schools, homes and hospital settings sharpened my professional skills while taking seeds from my personal experience. Growing up in a home of conflict and chaos, I found the easiest way to survive was to focus on others and their needs. Humor and helpfulness were my North Stars for forging friendships and navigating relationships - being the very capable “fun one.” The problem with being the fun one? It’s that much harder to ask for help because no one will suspect differently. Therapy was instrumental for me to start building trust in myself and remaining authentic to see my true depth and (gasp) share it with others. I love to offer light on some of those dark parts that we keep from others because they’re actually the glue that connects us all.
