THERAPY FOR WOMEN IN EAST NASHVILLE

Look no further for the FAQs

  • My office is at 3925 Gallatin Pike, Nashville, TN 37216 and I work Monday - Thursday from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM.

  • BOTH! I have my physical office in East Nashville and can be available via telehealth to fit your scheduling needs. Clients will need to live within the Nashville area to be accepted into the practice.

  • Yes, there is a small lot in the front of the building with overflow in the back. When you enter the home, there is a waiting area as well for the other therapists in the building.

  • Clients are responsible for the full cost of the session at the end of each session. The cost of one therapy session is $150. If you’re interested in working with me, the 15-minute phone consultation is complimentary.

  • No, I am considered an “out-of-network” provider that does not work directly with insurance companies. There are multiple reasons why, but the largest reason is the limitation that insurance companies put on therapy sessions. A diagnosis is needed and oftentimes insurance companies put a limit on the amount of sessions they will cover as a determinant of the diagnosis for you to be “fixed.” Therapy is not linear and therefore everyone’s progress works at a different pace.

However, a superbill can be provided upon request.

  • The intake session is 60 minutes, but every session afterwards will be 50 minutes.

  • Any appointments scheduled but not kept, as well as any appointments cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled time, will be charged at the full fee of $150.

  • Click on the “Schedule free consult” button at the top and we can get started!

  • I work with adult women (ages 18+) that live in the Nashville area. My passion is to help women through infertility, motherhood and the burnout that can arise during every phase.

  • I will meet with you face-to-face where we can use modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and use Family Systems Theory.

  • LCSW means Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I went to school to focus on social work vs clinical counseling or psychology. The equivalent license would be LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) or LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist) - we are all considered psychotherapists.

  • Each session will be 50 minutes, but therapy can go as long as you want! It could be a few months or a few years. We can always switch it up and slow things down when you’re feeling more confident or might not need as much support. You’re in the driver’s seat - I’m the Navigator!

  • We will tackle it together in your own time. Of course I have limitations in my skills (I’m no genie), so if we come across a topic that may need another expert’s opinion (i.e. medical doctor, dietitian, etc.) then we can work through it and I can always make a referral where you can be treated effectively.

  • No way! Life is tough and I have tissues to clean you up. Bonus: there is a little garbage in my office so you can practice your free throws.

  • Yes, if you’re crunched for time, please eat. Just know that I’ll likely stare at it and I’ll have to bust out a snack myself so it doesn’t get weird.

  • I can’t speak for everyone, but as for me? Yes, I definitely see my own therapist. I cannot stress enough that life is tough and you cannot do it alone. Helpers need help too - we are not immune to our humanity.

  • Neither (gasp!). I went to the University of Kansas so my allegiance remains with my fellow Jayhawks.
